Cord Arend Manhenke (born May 13, 1965 in Minden ) is a former German handball player and today's cardiologist.

Career

Manhenke began playing handball in his native Minden . After the B-youth he moved from TuS Eintracht Minden to TuS Nettelstedt . After just six months he joined TSV Grün-Weiß Dankersen . As a youth player, the right winger made his debut for the first team on April 7, 1984 in the 14:20 away defeat at MTSV Schwabing in the Bundesliga . He scored his first Bundesliga goal on May 5th in the home game against THW Kiel (17:20). In 1986 he was relegated from the Bundesliga with GWD and moved to TBV Lemgo in 1988 . In the 1989/90 season he reached the semi-finals of the German championship with the team. In 1992 he went to VfL Gummersbach before moving to Viking HK Stavanger in 1994 in the Postenligaen in Norway .

Manhenke settled in Stavanger and works there as a cardiologist.
