Corina Schwingruber Ilić

Corina Schwingruber Ilić (* 1981 in Werthenstein , Canton Lucerne) is a Swiss director and film editor . She lives in Lucerne (Switzerland) and Belgrade (Serbia).

Career

In 2004 Corina Schwingruber Ilić began her studies in the field of fine arts at the HGKZ Basel, in 2005 she completed an exchange year at the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade. She then studied video at the Lucerne School of Art and Design (HSLU), graduating in 2009.

She has been working as a freelance director and film editor since 2010.

Her short films have been shown at numerous national and international festivals, including the Locarno Film Festival , the Festival du court métrage Clermont Ferrand etc. and have been awarded prizes. After four of her previous films had been nominated for the Swiss Film Prize ( Baggern 2012, Just Another Day in Egypt 2016, Ins Holz 2018), she was awarded the prize for All Inclusive 2019.

Her short film All Inclusive premiered at the Venice Film Festival in 2018 and is one of the most successful Swiss (short) films with over 100 festival participations (including Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA), Sundance Film Festival ) and various prizes . The film was produced by Stella Händler, free trader film production.

Corina Schwingruber Ilić is a founding member and board member of the Swiss short film association Pro Short .
