Cornel Dora

Cornel Dora (* 1963 ) is a Swiss historian , English scholar and collegiate librarian from St. Gallen .

Life

Dora was elected to this office by the Administrative Council (the executive branch of the diocese of St. Gallen ) on November 1, 2013 , after having worked as a deputy monastery librarian in St. Gallen from 1996-2001.

He received his doctorate from the University of Zurich in 1993/94 on the subject of Augustinus Egger von St. Gallen, 1833–1906: a bishop between the culture war, social question and modernism conflict .
