Cornelia Elke Schray (* 1969 in Bretten ) is a German writer and poet .

Live and act

Cornelia Elke Schray wrote her first poems at the age of ten. The themes of her poems, meditations and short stories are about angels, hope, trust and grief. In 2010 she published her first book. Over 400 individual texts have now been published as anthologies and monologies . She is inspired by the Finnish language, which she finds poetic, multifaceted and full of images and which she has been learning in her spare time since 2016.

On the initiative of the songwriter Jonathan Böttcher , the CD How can I be an angel for you? with texts from her book Sometimes an angel is good for you .

She is the author of regular articles in the Evangelisches Gemeindeblatt Württemberg . She has been involved in animal welfare since, as a consultant in church work for senior citizens and since 2015 as a preacher of the Evangelical Church in Württemberg .

She has been married to the pastor Udo Schray since 1990 and is the mother of four children. After working in Berlin, Entringen, Süßen, Aach, Sommenhardt and Neresheim, she has lived with her family in Eglingen (Dischingen) since August 2012 .
