Cornelia Petzold-Schick (born May 30, 1964 in Pforzheim ) is a German politician and Lord Mayor of Bruchsal .

After graduating from the Fritz-Erler-Schule in Pforzheim in 1983 , Petzold-Schick completed an apprenticeship as a bank clerk and a career for the criminal service at the Baden-Württemberg State Criminal Police Office . From 1988 she was an investigator at the LKA and at the same time studied law in Freiburg. In 1996 she passed her second state examination. In the same year she ran unsuccessfully for the office of mayor of Hügelsheim . In 1997 she became head of the main office in Bad Wildbad . She held the same position from 1999 to 2005 with the city of Rheinstetten . In 2005 the independent Petzold-Schick was elected mayor of Ettlingen . In 2009, she prevailed in the second round of mayor elections in Bruchsal . In the re-election on July 9, 2017, she received 77.81% of the votes cast in the first ballot.
