Cornelia Rogall-Grothe (* 1949 in Paderborn ) is a German political official . Between February 2010 and August 2015 she was the Federal Government Commissioner for Information Technology and State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of the Interior (BMI), where she was replaced by Hans-Georg Engelke .

education and profession

From 1968 Rogall-Grothe studied law in Bonn , Freiburg im Breisgau and Heidelberg . After her legal clerkship in 1974, she completed her studies with the second state examination in law in 1977 and from then on worked as a consultant at the BMI. In 1990 she was promoted to head of department and from 1995 headed subdivision V and from 1999 subdivision M of the ministry. In 2006 she was promoted to ministerial director with the function of department head.

Since 2010 she has been a permanent state secretary in the Federal Ministry of the Interior and the Federal Government Commissioner for Information Technology (Federal CIO ). Rogall-Grothe also heads the National Cyber ​​Security Council , which was newly constituted in May 2011 .
