Cornelis Vreede
Cornelis Vreede (born November 13, 1908 in Den Helder ; † unknown) was a Dutch diplomat .
Career
Vreede was born as the son of Flotilla Admiral D. Vreede and PF Volcke. He studied at the University of Leiden . From 1948 to 1953 he was attaché at the Dutch Embassy in Washington, DC , from 1953 to 1957 Counselor in Bonn , from 1957 to 1960 Ministre plénipotentiaire of the Netherlands in Iraq and Saudi Arabia . Then returned to the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs as head of the department for the Western Hemisphere. From July 24, 1964, he acted as ambassador to Lebanon and also represented his country in Jordan .
