Corner Inlet is a bay in the Australian state of Victoria .

The entire bay is part of the Corner Inlet Marine & Coastal Park and is therefore under nature protection.

Corner Inlet lies between mainland Australia and the Wilsons Promontory Peninsula . It is 25.6 kilometers wide, 26.2 kilometers deep and has an area of ​​about 600 km². The largest tributaries are the Albert River , Agnes River and Franklin River , but the smaller creeks Bennison Creek , Dead Horse Creek , Poor Fellow Me Creek , Stockyard Creek , Tin Mine Creek and many other unnamed creeks also flow into the bay. Flora and fauna

Snapper , salmon , whitings ( Sillaginidae ) and horse mackerel live in the waters of Corner Inlet . BirdLife International has classified Corner Inlet as an Important Bird Area .
