Corner Island (from English corner , corner ' ) is a small island in the form of an eponymous right angle west of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located 175 m northeast of Galíndez Island in the group of Argentine islands of the Wilhelm Archipelago .
The island was surveyed and named in 1935 by the British Graham Land Expedition (1934-1937) under the direction of the Australian polar explorer John Rymill .
