Corrado Maria Daclon
Corrado Maria Daclon (* 1963 in Milan ) is an Italian environmental scientist and political advisor .
Life
Since 1995 Daclon has been Professor of Environmental Policy and Geopolitics at Ca 'Foscari University in Venice . He works as a journalist and writer for various magazine editors in the fields of international energy, environmental affairs and geopolitical issues.
Since 1987 he has been the head of the oldest Italian environmental organization, Pro Natura, and since 1986 member of the closest advisory team at ministerial and government level (Prime Minister, Environment Minister, Minister of Scientific Research, Minister of Agriculture, Minister of Education). Corrado Maria Daclon has been the chief advisor and scientific partner of the NATO Committee for the Challenges of Modern Society (CCMS) since 1999 . He also has close professional relationships with the highest levels of international institutions and federal agencies, such as B. the European Union (EU), NASA , the United Nations (UN) and the Council of Europe.
He has published over 60 scientific articles and 16 books, some of which are chosen as major university textbooks in Europe and the Mediterranean. In the 1990s he was a member of the UNEP Governing Council in Nairobi in preparation for the Rio de Janeiro Earth Summit - also known as the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development .
Since 2000 he has been responsible for the Italian focal point of the Earth Charter Initiative. In 2005 he took over the post of Secretary General of the Italy- USA Foundation , an organization closely linked to the American Embassy in Rome at the Consulate General level . His cooperation with governments and universities extends to over 60 different countries in Europe , Africa , Asia , North and South America .
He is a columnist for Gnosis magazine, publishes for the Italian Information and Homeland Security Agency Agenzia Informazioni e Sicurezza Interna , and for the Huffington Post .
