Sands' armored catfish ( Corydoras davidsandsi ) is a beautifully colored freshwater ornamental fish from the genus Corydoras from Brazil . It becomes up to 5.5 cm long and lives as a schooling fish in the lower regions of the water, where it searches for food with its barbels on the water floor.
The peaceful animals are often kept in aquariums , but they should be kept in groups of at least six fish. In addition, it must be ensured that the animals should find sufficient hiding places and, as intestinal breathers, need free access to the water surface.
