Coryphantha hintoniorum is a species of plant in the genus Coryphantha from the cactus family(Cactaceae). The specific epithet honors the Mexican farmer and plant collector George Sebastian Hinton from Nuevo Leon in Mexico.

Coryphantha hintoniorum grows individually or forms groups with more than 30 shoots and has tap or fiber roots. The flat, spherical to short cylindrical shoots are green and reach heights of 9 to 15 centimeters with a diameter of 5 to 10 centimeters. The conical to cylindrical, in cross-section almost circular warts are up to 2.2 centimeters long. The young axillae are woolly white. The single, gray, sometimes hooked central spine is 9 to 18 millimeters long. The 11 to 15 grayish white radial spines are 8 to 18 millimeters long. The lower six of them are radiating, the upper ones protruding.
The yellow flowers are up to 4.5 centimeters long and 4 centimeters in diameter. The green fruits are up to 2.7 inches long.
Distribution, systematics and endangerment
Coryphantha hintoniorum is common in the Mexican state of Nuevo León .
The first description was published in 1998 by Reto F. Dicht and Adrian D. Lüthy .
