Coryphantha pallida is a species of plant in the genus Coryphantha from the cactus family(Cactaceae). The specific epithet pallida comes from Latin , means 'pale' and refers to the color of the flowers.

Coryphantha pallida grows individually or in groups. The spherical blue-green shoots reach a diameter of up to 12 centimeters. The short, thick warts are close together. The three central spines are black or white with a black tip. They are up to 1.5 inches long. The upper two central spines protrude. The 20 or more white radial spines lie on the shoot surface.

The bright lemon yellow flowers are 6 to 7 centimeters long and reach the same diameter. The greenish-brown fruits have lengths of up to 2 centimeters.

Distribution, systematics and endangerment

Coryphantha pallida is widespread in the Mexican states of Puebla and Oaxaca on alluvial soil and on hill sides and hill edges in limestone gravel.

The first description by Nathaniel Lord Britton and Joseph Nelson Rose was published in 1923.

In the Red List of Threatened Species of the IUCN , the species is listed as " Least Concern (LC) ". H. listed as not endangered.
