Costasavina is a fraction of the Italian municipality of Pergine Valsugana in Trentino , at 506 m slm .
The village lies below the northern flank of the Marzola (1738 m) and about two kilometers from Perigne, between the towns of Roncogno and Susà.
structure
The village consists of different hamlets:
- Dos (north-west),
- Villa (the actual historical center),
- Mas (the upper village),
- Lozeri (under the village),
- Caset (south-east),
- more houses that do not form their own hamlet.
Despite the recent increase in population and the resulting construction activity in some hamlets, there are still numerous historical buildings in the fraction.
Attractions
In the hamlet of Dos there are many buildings adorned with coats of arms, some of which remind of the sacking of the village by Napoleon Bonaparte's troops in 1796.
Not far from Costasavina is the "Casa dei Sartori", it dates from the 17th century, earlier it was believed that it was a monastery. A tiled stove comes from the Sartori's house and is now on display in the Castello di Pergine .
The parish church is dedicated to St. Martin of Tours ; it was built in the 16th century, in 1933 it was completely rebuilt and modernized. The altarpiece from the 16th century can still be found in the apse .
economy
Agriculture is practiced in Costasavina. The main fruits are apples and cherries. The cherries are known as Duroni di Costsavina .
