Council of European Aerospace Societies
The Council of European Aerospace Societies (CEAS) was formed in 1993 as an association of European aerospace societies in recognition of the increasingly international character of the aerospace industry. The organization is based in Brussels .
In 1993 it was initially an alliance, in 2003 it was transformed into a council with the aim of creating improved cooperation, a legal status and better use of the resources of the companies involved. CEAS currently has over 25,000 members from over 10 associations.
The initial name was International Conference of the European Aerospace societies (abbreviated: CEAS with year), which is organized every two years by a full member.
For example, the CEAS 2007 was in Berlin, organized by the German Aerospace Society . In 2009 the CEAS took place in Manchester, 2011 in Venice. In 2019 the CEAS took place in Delft .
