The Countess Beck is a river in the Lake District , Cumbria , England . The Countess Beck arises in Roan Wood south of the hamlet of Greendale in Wasdale from a division of the Greendale Gill . While the Cinderdale Beck, which is also emerging there from the Greendale Beck , flows in a westerly direction, the Countess Beck flows in an easterly direction to its confluence with the Wast Water Lake.
