Cova is a place and a former municipality ( freguesia ) in northern Portugal .
Cova belongs to the Vieira do Minho county in the Braga district . The community had an area of 4.4 km² and 303 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Cova and Ventosa were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Ventosa e Cova .
