history

In 1911 the game operation was interrupted by the closure of the sports field. This interruption was prolonged by the outbreak of the First World War . In the 1919/1920 season it was possible to continue playing. After the Second World War , they built their own clubhouse and floodlights were used for the first time in 1960.
In 1973 and 1974 the Coventry RFC won the RFU Knock Out Cup . In 1987 the official English championship was played for the first time. Coventry was in the first division, but was relegated. With the professionalization of sport, a new stadium was built for the club in the following years, the Butts Park Arena, which was played for the first time in 2004.
