Craig Brewer
Craig Brewer (born December 6, 1971 in Virginia Beach , Virginia ) is an American film and television director and screenwriter.
Life
Brewer made his debut as a director and screenwriter in 2000 with The Poor and Hungry . He had his breakthrough in 2005 with the film Hustle & Flow , which won an Oscar . He was awarded the Audience Award at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival for his work . Various film and television productions followed. He worked as a director for ten episodes of the series Empire and in three cases as a screenwriter.
