Craig Strickland
Craig Michael Strickland (born June 2, 1986 in Alma , Arkansas , † December 27, 2015 in Bear Creek Cove , Oklahoma ) was an American country singer .
Life
On November 29, 2014, he married Miss Arkansas Helen Elizabeth Wisner.
On December 27, 2015, Strickland and his friend Chase Morland set out on a boat to hunt ducks, although a severe winter storm was announced. The boat capsized and Morland drowned. Strickland was able to save himself on land by swimming, but there he died of hypothermia . Search teams found his body on January 4, 2016.
Career
Strickland was the lead singer of Backroad Anthem, which was founded in 2012. Other band members include Toby Freeman, Eric Dysart, Josh Bryant, Brandon Robold and Isaac Senty. Her debut EP Torn was released on September 4, 2015.
