Creativity Movement

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Creativity Movement (until 2002 also: World Church of the Creator , before 1996 Church of the Creator ) is a racist organization that calls for the expulsion of non-whites from the USA and denies the Holocaust . It was the fastest growing racist organization in the US until 2003 and is headquartered in East Peoria , Illinois . The organization calls itself a “church” and advocates a “white religion” called Creativity .

The World Church of the Creator has been recognized by several acts of violence in the past, including several murders and arson. According to its longtime director Matthew Hale , however, these were acts of individual perpetrators who were no longer members of the organization at the time of the crime. The World Church conducts its missionary work mainly over the Internet.

Hale is currently serving a 40-year prison sentence for inciting the murder of a female judge.

history

The organization was founded in 1973 as Church of the Creator by Ben Klassen in connection with his book Nature's Eternal Religion . In 1993, Matthew Hale took over the reins, which he held until his arrest on January 8, 2003. In 1996 he added the word World to the name in order to underline the global ambitions of the group.

From 2000, the TE-TA-MA Thruth Foundation's Church of the Creator , which had protected its name as a trademark, tried to force the World Church of the Creator to change its name. After Hale's organization won in the first instance, judge Joan Lefkow agreed with the TE-TA-MA. On December 19, 2002, Hale registered the Creativity Movement name as a trademark.

Hale tried Anthony Evola , who had been a member of the organization for over two years, to instigate Lefkow's murder. But Evola worked as an informant for the FBI . Hale was arrested on January 8, 2003 and sentenced to 40 years in prison on April 26, 2004.

Since then, the Creativity Movement has grown from an organized group to a loose and uncoordinated association of white racists.
