Creature with the Atom Brain were a band from Antwerp founded by Aldo Struyf in 2004 , which can be assigned to the alternative rock scene.

history

In 2004 Aldo Struyf - keyboardist for Millionaire - founded the band as a side project and released two EPs in the following two years, on which he played most of the instruments himself.

In 2007 Creature with the Atom Brain - now with a permanent cast - recorded their first studio album and played as the opening act for bigger acts like Queens of the Stone Age .

A frequent guest is the American singer Mark Lanegan , who has already worked with Struyf on several occasions and can be heard as a guest on all three studio albums to date. Furthermore, Creature with the Atom Brain were engaged as opening act on his world tour 2012, on which Struyf and the new drummer De Gheest also played in his band.

In 2015 it was announced that the band would break up with the upcoming release. Night of the Hunter is a return to the early days, as Struyf composed and recorded the album almost alone, but not without some well-known guests like Mark Lanegan.
