Cristian Carlos Villagra (born December 27, 1985 in Morteros ) is an Argentine football player .

Club career

Villagra played at Rosario Central in his youth . With this club he got at the beginning of the Clausura 2005 a professional contract and made his debut on February 5, 2006 in the game against Club Atlético Gimnasia y Esgrima de Jujuy . Villagra played for Rosario until the end of Apertura 2006. Then he moved for the equivalent of around 500,000 euros to the most famous Argentine soccer club, River Plate from the city of Buenos Aires , where he played until 2010 and was once champion. In July 2010 the defender was signed by the Ukrainian first division club Metalist Kharkiv .

National team

For the friendly game of the Argentine national football team against Scotland on November 19, 2008 Villagra was appointed to the squad for the first time, but was not used. He made his debut on May 6, 2010 in a 4-0 friendly win against Haiti .
