Cristopher Benjamín Toselli Ríos (born June 15, 1988 in Antofagasta ), nicknamed Hulk , is a Chilean football goalkeeper who plays for CD Universidad Católica .

Career

Cristopher Toselli comes from the north of Chile, but his football career began at the age of twelve in the capital Santiago de Chile at Universidad Católica . He played there in the youth and at the age of 18 moved to the first team in the Primera División , where he also had his first appearance in 2007. From 2009 he was used more often and the following year he won the league title with the club, which was only determined in a championship round due to the earthquake accident.

From 2011 Toselli was number one in the Cruzados and won the cup in the same year and was runner-up in the Apertura. In the following years he also helped establish the club as a regular goalkeeper at the top of the league. In the Transición and Apertura 2013 as well as in the Clausura 2014 the team came second three times in a row.

National team

Cristopher Toselli was discovered for the national team at the age of 15. With the U-17 and the U-20 he played at the South American Championship. At the U-20 World Cup in Canada, the team came third with him. In 2009 a Chilean junior team won the Toulon tournament for the first time with him in goal . In 2010, Toselli was tested for the first time in the Chilean national team in the year of his first championship . It wasn't until two years later that he made two more appearances in the national jersey in two friendly matches against Peru . In the run-up to the World Cup in Brazil , it was set up again in a test match in early 2014. At the beginning of June it was announced that he would be the third goalkeeper in Chile's 23-strong squad for the World Cup.
