The Cromlechs of the Pyrenees ( Spanish : Crómlech pirenaico ) are comparatively modest megalithic structures in the shape of a circle with diameters between about 2.0 and a little more than 10.0 meters and stones that rarely reach a height of 3.0 m. At the same place usually 5 to 20 stone circles ( Basque Harrespil - plur. Harrespilak , also Baratz - ( German called  "Gardens" )) with different diameters form a group whose origin dates back to 1200 to 600 BC. Is dated.

The Pyrenees - Cromlechs are located in an area that stretches from Andorra to the Bay of Biscay via the Pyrénées-Atlantiques and Hautes-Pyrénées departments and thus primarily covers the Basque- speaking area in France . They do not occur in Spain. The generally accepted theory about the purpose of the Pyrenees cromlechs is that they are tombs.
