Theming Underwater world

Crush's Coaster is a steel roller coaster of the Spinning Coaster type manufactured by Maurer AG in the Walt Disney Studios Park theme park in Disneyland Resort Paris . The theme of the train is based on the animated film Finding Nemo .

The station of the railway, which opened on May 16, 2007, is themed like an old port. The total of 13 individual shuttles for four people each do not stop here, but drive slowly through. The wagons are designed like turtle shells , corresponding to the Crush character from the film. Following the station, the wagons are transported by a small chain lift to a height of around four meters and then leave the building for a short time on a wide right-hand bend. Back inside, a short dark ride part, designed as an underwater world, is driven through with animatronics and projections of the film characters.

The adjoining main chain lift with a rail height of 15.5 meters is surrounded by a tunnel designed as a sunken submarine. The layout of the following roller coaster route largely corresponds to that of the manufacturer's transportable systems, for example Bruch's Spinning Racer traveling in Germany . The entire route is largely in the dark, apart from projections of a water vortex, and is accompanied by music from the film.

The total travel time on the 545-meter-long route is 1:55 minutes, 55 seconds of which are spent on the dark ride part and the remaining minute on the actual roller coaster ride. The chaise can reach a top speed of 60 km / h.

Awards
