The Crystal River is a tributary of the Roaring Fork River approximately 40 miles (64 km) in length. It is located in the west of the US state Colorado .

The Crystal River has its source in the Elk Mountains in Gunnison County , flows through the ghost town of Crystal City and joins the Roaring Fork River below Carbondale .
