Csaba Fehér (born September 2, 1975 in Szekszárd ) is a former Hungarian football player .

Player career

Hungary

Csaba Fehér started his career as a footballer in his Hungarian homeland with the first division club Pécsi Mecsek FC . There he played for four years from 1992 to 1996 and made his first steps in professional football. He then went to the top club Újpest Budapest for three years . With his next club, MTK Budapest , he won the Hungarian Cup, but he left the club after six months to move to the Belgian first division club Verbroedering Geel . There, too, it only lasted six months, so he signed with NAC Breda from the Dutch Eredivisie .

Netherlands

Csaba Fehér stayed in Breda for four years until he received an offer from league rivals and top club PSV Eindhoven . There, however, he was never able to assert himself in four contract years. In his first season he played four games for PSV, but after only half a year he was awarded again. This was followed by a six-month guest appearance at his ex-club Újpest Budapest .

For the new season Fehér was not even brought back into the team, but loaned to the relegation-threatened first division club Willem II Tilburg . After all, he played Dot 20 times and was able to contribute one hit to successfully avoiding relegation. For this reason, Eindhoven brought him back after the season as an alternative in midfield, but the season was again disappointing for him. He was injured for a long time, so in the end it was only three league games in which he played. However, he was used four times in the Champions League of all places. For the 2007/08 season, Fehér was loaned to his ex-club NAC Breda , which had a purchase option. The club made use of this and finally lured the defensive player back in the summer of 2008. Fehér played for Breda until 2011, then returned to Újpest Budapest. There he completed only one league game, however.

International

Csaba Fehér was the Hungarian national player for eight years from 1998 to 2006 . He appeared in 40 games for his country, but he never scored a goal.
