description
The wayside cross stands in the middle of four Doric columns with capitals . The four-meter-high columns that form a square are connected by an architrave . On all four sides it is adorned with the coat of arms of the city of Avila. In the middle of this monument, erected in 1566, is a granite cross . It stood on the way to the former Ermita de San Leonardo , to which a procession took place every year .
