The Cuneiform Cliffs ( English for wedge- shaped cliffs ) are a series of steep and irregular rock cliffs on the Borchgrevink coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . They tower along the lower Mariner Glacier at the southern end of the Malta Plateau in the Victory Mountains of the Transantarctic Mountains .
The New Zealand Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1966 after the wedge-shaped rock spurs on the front of the cliffs.
