The Currie Rugby Football Club is a rugby union -Verein which in the Scottish Premiership plays. The home games are played in Malleny Park in Edinburgh .
The club was founded in 1970 and played its first game against Gala . In 1973 the Scottish Federation created an official league structure. Currie was placed in the second division of the Edinburgh District League. In the next few years the club worked its way into higher leagues. In 1982 they built their own clubhouse, which was further modernized over the coming decades. In 1990 Currie was in the top division. In the mid-1990s, new stands and floodlights were built in order to do justice to the professionalization of the sport. In 2007 the club won the Scottish Championship for the first time.
