Curt Mahr
Curt Mahr (born September 23, 1907 in Schwarza an der Saale , Thuringia , † July 30, 1978 in Niedernhausen near Wiesbaden ) was a German composer and accordionist .
Curt Mahr studied at the Musikhochschule in Leipzig (master class piano and horn ). Since 1935 he worked as an accordion virtuoso. He gave frequent guest concerts at radio stations and worked for many years at Radio Hamburg ( NWDR ), and later at the Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk in Leipzig. Mahr lived in Berlin , from 1950 as a freelance composer and music teacher in Wiesbaden . In 1959 he received the DHV badge in gold (Deutscher Harmonikaverband e.V.).
