Curt Pohlmeyer

Curt Pohlmeyer (born March 31, 1887 in Hörde ; † November 25, 1955 in Goslar ) was a German officer, most recently an SS brigade leader and major general of the police .

Life

Pohlmeyer served in World War I and was awarded the Iron Cross (1914), 2nd class. After the war he worked in the Guard Cavalry Rifle Division . Pohlmeyer was a member of the NSDAP ( membership number 2.280.260) and joined the SS (SS number 327.417). From 1937 he led the police in Bremen as commander . During the Second World War he was among other things from April 5, 1939 to January 1, 1940 inspector and commander of the Ordnungspolizei in military district I (Königsberg) and later with the staff of the Danube section.
