Curtius is an impact crater in the extreme south of the lunar front , northeast of Moretus crater and east of Cysatus . The rim of the crater is very badly eroded, and the interior has been furrowed by smaller impacts.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the German astronomer Albert Curtz .
