Custard is a heavy and power metal band from Herne , North Rhine-Westphalia .

history

The band Custard was originally founded in 1987 by Chris Klapper, Marc Weißgräber, Jens Schröder and Dirk Müller as a fun project AMF (short for: Alcoholic Metal Front ). In the beginning the band's claim was mainly on “full intoxication and partying”, but this changed with the exchange of some musicians. The musical quality subsequently increased enormously, so that the name Custard quickly became a synonym for good Thrash Metal on a local level . In the further development of the band, the stylistic direction changed drastically and the press put the stamp of Power Metal on it.

With demo tapes (for example Signa Inferre ), in-house productions (including God of Storm EP) and good live performance, the band convinced the underground press and the leading magazines of the metal scene reported on the development of custards.

Following a tour of Germany supporting Skyclad , the band recorded their first album Kingdoms of your Life , which was released in 1998 via Point Music. The second album For my King was released two years later on BO Records, a sub-label of Last Episode . For the third album Wheels of Time from 2005, Custard moved to Mausoleum Records. The album was advertised in Germany in particular on the Attero Dominatus tour by Sabaton .

The fourth album, Forces Remain , was also released in 2008 via Pure Steel Records and thus again on a new label. The Austrian online magazine described the album as "material worth hearing [sic!] [...] that should really be found food for friends of the true, heavy and power metal sectors". Four years later, Custard released the fifth album Infested By Anger for the first time with the same record company. In the review by Metal.de, the quality level was described as "quite high".
