Cyril Hume
Cyril Hume (born March 16, 1900 in New York City , † March 26, 1966 in Palos Verdes , California ) was an American screenwriter .
Cyril Hume attended Yale University . In 1923 his novel The Wife of the Centaur appeared , which was made into a film shortly afterwards. From 1930 he worked as a screenwriter. His best-known works include several Tarzan films and Alarm in Space (Forbidden Planet) . By 1963 he was involved in 47 productions, from 1960 in particular in various television series. In 1956 he was nominated together with Richard Maibaum for a Primetime Emmy Award , in 1960 he received a nomination for the WGA Award.
