Cyril Kola

Cyril Kola (born July 18, 1927 in Radibor ) is a Sorbian dramaturge , novelist , literary critic and translator.

Life

He completed a distance learning course in cultural studies at the University of Leipzig . Between 1970 and 1991 he headed the Sorbian cultural magazine Rozhlad . Since 1991 he has been working as a freelance writer. Some of his works are the dramas Kwas budźe (1962), Wopyt pola přiwuznych (“Visiting relatives”, 1972) and Chěžka na wsy na předań (“House for sale in the village”, 1979). Cyril Kola still translates from other Slavic languages ​​for the Sorbian newspaper Serbske Nowiny .
