Dámaso Rodríguez Martín (born December 11, 1944 , Tenerife ; † February 19, 1991 in the Anaga Mountains , Tenerife), known as "El Brujo", was a Spanish serial killer .

After his escape from prison, where he was incarcerated for murder, rape, gun theft and illegal gun possession, he spread terror in the mountainous region of El Moquinal (Anaga Mountains) on Tenerife in 1991 . He killed a German couple and became the most wanted criminal by the state security forces in Spain. One month after his escape, he was caught by the police. He tried to shoot himself with his shotgun but was unable to do so because of the length of the gun. He was only killed in the subsequent exchange of fire with the Guardia Civil.
