Elektrownia Wodna Dębe

The Dębe Dam is located in the village of Dębe in the Serock rural municipality of the Masovian Voivodeship . It was built in 1962 and dams the Narew River to Jezioro Zegrzyńskie here . The hydroelectric power station of the same name ( Elektrownia Wodna Dębe - EW Dębe ) was put into operation in 1963.

The power station is owned by PGE Trading SA , a subsidiary of Poland's largest electricity producer, the state-run Polska Grupa Energetyczna . The idea for the construction of a dam and power station, combined with the creation of a reservoir near Warsaw that can be used for recreational purposes , arose in the Central Office for Water Management of Poland (Polish: Centralnym Urzędzie Gospodarki Wodnej ). Voivodship Road 632 runs over the dam.

The electricity is generated by four turbo generators with Kaplan turbines , which have a rotor diameter of 4.8 meters and are coupled with electric generators with an output of 6.25 megavolt amperes . The nominal output of the system installed in this way is around 21 megawatts and the average annual production is 91 gigawatt hours . The waterfall height averages 5.5 meters. Any excess water is drained off via four weirs .
