Džemal Berberović (born November 5, 1981 in Sarajevo , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Bosnian football player . The former international can be used in both full-back positions, preferably on the right side.

Berberović began his career at FK Sarajevo . In 2003 he moved to Germany for Bayer 04 Leverkusen , where he was unable to assert himself and was not used, only playing in 13 second division games on loan to VfL Osnabrück . In January 2005 he returned to FK Sarajevo. He then played intermittently for Litex Lovech , with whom Berberović was Bulgarian champions in the 2010/11 season. In the meantime he was loaned to FK Kuban Krasnodar and played for a year at Denizlispor . At the end of July 2011 he moved to MSV Duisburg .

For the 2013/14 season Berberović returned again to Litex Lovech.

Berberović made his international debut for Bosnia and Herzegovina on February 12, 2002 in a friendly against Wales in Cardiff. On July 29, 2010, he ended his international career after 33 international appearances.
