The DIXY Group ( Russian Дикси , Diksi ) is a Russian company in the food retail sector with headquarters in Moscow . The company has a total of over 2,700 branches in 775 locations in Russia. The company was founded in 1999 by Russian businessman Oleg Leonov .

Branches and markets

The DIXY Group has 2706 branches (end of September 2017). In addition to the markets under the name Dixy (2,646 branches, end of 2016), there are small and supermarkets Viktoria ( Russian Виктория , 48 and 67) as well as the stores Megamarkt and Minimarkt ( Russian Мегамарт and Russian Минимарт , together 40). The Dixy stores contributed 82% of sales, 10% the Viktoria supermarkets and 6% the mega and mini markets. At the end of 2016, the regional distribution of the markets was concentrated mainly in central and north-western Russia (660 markets) with 1960 markets . In the Urals , the DIXY Group, with 161 markets, the brand Mega market is mainly represented here. The company only has 21 stores in the Volga region . The Victoria markets are leading in Kaliningrad Oblast .

Compared to other food retailers in Russia, DIXY is the third largest retail chain by number of stores (far behind Magnit and the X5 Retail Group ), fourth largest by sales (after Magnit , X5 Retail Group and Auchan ) and fifth largest after Sales areas (according to Magnit of the X5 Retail Group , Auchan and Lenta ).
