background

According to her record company Sony Music , the artist comes from a family of musicians and got to hang up through a former friend. Produced by Axel Konrad , she released the song My Party in early 2012 , a cover version of the classic Let's All Chant by the Michael Zager Band from 1978, in which she is supported by the British rapper Chima Rameez Okpalaugo . As DJane Candy she was employed as a regular DJ in the Munich cult factory Club Rafael.

Career

After playing as a resident DJ in several clubs, she released her first single, My Party . The song first hit clubs in January 2012, was offered for download as a single track on iTunes on February 3, 2012 , and was released as an iTunes single on March 19, 2012. Initially, the song received little attention in the German single charts and also in the dance hit lists. It was only when the private television broadcaster Pro Sieben chose My Party as a promotional song for its Comedy Tuesday that the title received a lot of public attention. On April 13, 2012 it reached number 1 in the German iTunes charts and number 2 in the Austrian iTunes charts. As a result, an official maxi CD release was scheduled for April 20, 2012 by Sony Music.

On April 27, 2012, My Party entered the charts at number 4 in Austria and climbed to number 3 the following week. In Denmark, the song reached number 37 on May 4, and number 4 in Germany on May 7, 2012. In Switzerland, the song first rose to 17th place on May 6, 2012, improved to 16th in the following week and then reached 14th place as the highest position. With over 150,000 units sold, My Party was awarded the gold record by Sony Music.

On January 18, 2013, the title All the Time appeared . The video premiered on January 10, 2013 on numerous portals. The song was written and produced by Axel Konrad and Verena Rehm . In addition, the singer Nelson Ortiz and again Rameez , who already contributed the rap part at My Party . The song climbed from 49th place to 19th place on the German DJ Playlist and reached 55th place on the German sales charts. The maxi single was released on January 25, 2013 on Sony Music / Columbia. On April 13, 2013, the two DSDS candidates Susan Albers & Tim David sang "All the Time" on the show, after which the single was able to return to number 44 on the German sales charts a week later.

In October 2013 DJane Housekat announced that their third single would be released that same year. The song was released under the title Don't U Feel Alright . After she deviated strongly from her original dance style with various remixes, especially her edit to the track Everybody Want's To Party by Marc Korn and the Clubraiders, it was assumed that this song would also be released with different sounds, but this single also retains the influences from dance pop and house. It was also announced that the song is a cover version of Liquidos Narcotic .

In July 2014 DJane Housekat was awarded the "Radio Galaxy Award" for young talent at the annual Rundfunktage in Nuremberg. At the event she also appeared with singer Verena Rehm and rapper Rameez . In an interview with the broadcaster, she announced that the release of a new single is planned for September 2014. Already on July 1, 2014, this was published exclusively in the USA. It's another track with rapper Rameez and it's called Girls in Luv . The female parts were taken over by Verena Rehm, the second voice from Groove Coverage. The track is a cover of the song of the same name by the German singer Andreas Dorau . On October 30, 2014 the single was also released in Europe.

On April 10, 2015 she released the single Careless with the singer Piñero . The song attracted attention especially through the official music video. The point is not to be careless with one's life, for example through drug use and unprotected sexual intercourse. At the end of the video the slogan “Don't be careless” appears. The song climbed to number 11 in the German DJ dance charts. The song also made it to 18th place in the German dance top 50 and 17th in the German house charts. However, the song missed entry into the German single charts and was therefore unable to build on its old successes.

On June 19, 2015 DJane Housekat released their next single 38 Degrees again with the British rapper Rameez . As with Careless, the vocals in the song were taken over by the German singer Piñero. The single was released as an MP3 download from Sony Music and contains the radio and club version as well as a groove coverage remix. On the same day, the compilation “Club Sounds Summer 2015” was released on CD and download by Sony Music, on which the song can be found as Degrees on the second CD as a Club Mix.

On January 29, 2016, DJaneHousekat released their new single Ass up again together with the British rapper Rameez . The song is a cover of the German dance act Baracuda . The song entered the German dance charts at number 22 a week after its release, making it the highest newcomer of the week.

On March 23, 2018, DJane Housekat released the song Listen with Lotus after a long release break , the chorus of which comes from the song Listen to Your Heart by the Swedish band Roxette from 1988. The song debuted at number 39 on the official DJ charts.
