Rameez (real name Chima Rameez Okpalaugo ) is a British rapper who became known through his collaboration with Groove Coverage and DJane Housekat .

Musical career

The English- born rapper Rameez first attracted attention by collaborating with Groove Coverage and the single Think About the Way , a cover of the song of the same name by Ice MC . The song was already sixth on the DJ Top 100 list three weeks before its release. It is the first single from Groove Coverages on March 30, 2012 released studio album Riot on the Dancefloor . Think About the Way reached 54th place in the German single charts.

The German DJane Housekat then recorded the song My Party with him . This was initially offered for download as a single track on iTunes on February 3, 2012 and was finally released as an iTunes single on March 19, 2012. But only after the German television station Pro Sieben chose My Party as the April advertising song for its Comedy Tuesday , the song received a lot of attention and climbed to number 1 in the German iTunes charts and number 2 in the Austrian iTunes charts on April 13, 2012. As a result, Sony Music decided to release My Party on April 20, 2012 as a CD single . My Party reached number 4 in the charts in Austria as well as in Germany. In Switzerland, the song secured 14th place. The Bodybangers caught up with him after the success as a reinforcement for her single Out Of Control in her studio. The song was released as a single on December 7, 2012.

On January 18, 2013, the title All the Time was released , an adaptation of the song level , in which the sound track was simply reversed. He also recorded this track with DJane Housekat. The video premiered on January 10, 2013 on numerous portals. The song was written and produced by Axel Konrad and Verena Rehm . The singer Nelson also takes part. The song climbed from 49th place to 19th place on the German DJ Playlist and reached 52nd place on the German sales charts. The maxi single was released on January 25, 2013 on Sony Music / Columbia. On April 13, 2013, the two DSDS candidates Susan Albers & Tim David sang All the Time in the show, whereupon the single was able to return to number 44 on the German sales charts a week later.

On July 1, 2014, the rapper released the song Girlz in Luv in collaboration with DJane Housekat exclusively in the USA. In autumn 2014 it was also published in Europe. The song advanced to the top 40 of the German iTunes charts and thus barely missed entry into the official German single charts.

On June 22nd, 2016 the rapper officially released his new single "Hello Summer", whose lead vocals were again taken over by Verena Rehm . It is the rapper's first song and no music video was made. The single was only available as a download from iTunes and Spotify .
