DK bongos

DK Bongos ( Japanese タ ル コ ン ガ , Tarukonga , German “barrel conga ”) are an input device for Nintendo's game console GameCube . The design is based on real bongos and congas . The two drums are not different in size, as is the case with traditional bongos, but neither are they as tall and large as congas.

DK Bongos have a sensor in each of the two drums that recognizes when you hit the corresponding drum surface, and a microphone that detects clapping (or other loud noises in the immediate vicinity). There is also a “start” button.

Games

DK Bongos were originally developed for the music game Donkey Konga , with which they were also included. But they can also be purchased individually.

The following games use the DK Bongos as an input device:

title genre
Donkey Konga Music game
Donkey Konga 2 Music game
Donkey Konga 3 Music game
Donkey Kong Jungle Beat Jump 'n' run

It was also planned to use the bongos in the pinball game Odama and in the racing game DK: Bongo Blast .
