Gameplay

The DK Bongos used to play Donkey Kong Jungle Beat

Donkey Kong Jungle Beat is played with special controllers called DK Bongos . By tapping a bongo, Donkey Kong moves in that direction. If both bongos are touched at the same time, DK will jump. The DK Bongos also recognize the player's clapping noises. These trigger various actions in the game. The player controls Donkey Kong through various levels in which as many bananas as possible have to be collected. Depending on how many bananas you were able to collect at the end of a game world, you receive a coat of arms. These are available in four versions - bronze (under 400 bananas), silver (from 400 bananas), gold (from 800 bananas) and platinum (from 1200 bananas). The number of bananas can be increased through combos and extras. With this coat of arms, new game worlds can be unlocked. Only Donkey Kong and some animal helpers can be played , other members of the Kong family do not appear. The final boss of the game is Ghastly King .
