DOA (* 1968 in Lyon ) is the pseudonym of a French crime novel writer and screenwriter . His nom de plume refers to Rudolph Maté's American film noir D.OA ( Victims of the Underworld ) from 1950.

life and work

DOA is a representative of Roman noir , which is stylistically based on the American hardboiled novel , but its content is more political and socially critical. DOA is the only author to have received the Grand prix de littérature policière twice , in 2007 for his novel Citoyens clandestins and in 2011 together with Dominique Manotti for the jointly written novel The Honorable Society .
