DOES is a three- piece rock band formed in Fukuoka , Japan in 2000 . The band is known for songs in the soundtrack of several anime series such as Gintama or Naruto Shippuden .

history

From its founding in Fukuoka in 2000, the band members wrote many songs in the first few years and gave live performances of increasing popularity. In 2005 some members left the band and the group briefly broke up before a new meeting took place. The first single was released in 2004 as an independent release, the collaboration with the label Ki / oon Records finally began in 2006. In 2008 the single Donten reached 3rd place on the weekly Oricon charts and became the 5th theme song for the Gintama series . The single Bakuchi Dancer , released on April 21, 2010, sold 33,000 copies in the first week and also reached number 3 on the Oricon charts that week. In Japan, she ranked 30th among the best-selling singles in the first half of 2010 and ranked 74th for the whole year. On November 14, 2012 the single Yumemiru Sekai could be released, which made it onto the soundtrack of Uchū Kyōdai . In the summer of 2014, the single Guren followed , which was then selected as the 15th theme song by Naruto Shippuden . Her eighth work Innocence from April 27, 2016 is the latest album .
