The Danish series DSB CLS were bogie - control car , the DSB ( German Danish State Railways ) 1960-1962 procured to trains with the newly acquired motor coaches of the series MO (V) to form.
history
The 18 vehicles were manufactured by Scandia A / S in Randers between 1960 and 1962 .
The cars intended for local traffic had a central aisle and toilet facilities. The heating of the control car took place on the Dampfheizleitung of the railcar.
The outer cladding of the car was made of sheet steel . The boarding took place at the end of the car with the control compartment via an access door on both sides, at the other end of the car there were two doors on each side.
DSB Cls
As part of the introduction of the UIC car number , the cars were given the modified series designation Cls in 1967/68 . In addition to the three-digit number, the five-digit variant from this wagon number was often used to denote the individual wagons (such as 27 701 ).
Whereabouts
In the course of the decommissioning of the type MO railcars , the control cars were no longer able to be used, so that they were withdrawn from service between 1976 and 1983 and retired.
Previously already Cls 710 1978 at the Nene Valley Railway in Cambridgeshire been sold.
Cls 714 was sold to Odsherreds Jernbane (OHJ) in 1982 , and from there in 1984 to the Dansk Jernbane-Klub . The vehicle was available in Horsens in 2004 .
After its retirement in 1983, Cls 717 was deposited in Svejstrup Grusgrav. It came to DSB Museumstog in Randers around 1998 and was scrapped there in 2011.
After its retirement in 1983, Cls 718 came to Tønder in the railway museum set up in the former Tønder remise . In 2016 there were plans to make the car operational again, but this seems questionable given the condition of the car.
