The DSV Troppau (full name Deutscher Sportverein Troppau ) was a football club from Troppau . Its original name was Troppauer FV .

history

The DSV Troppau was founded as Troppauer FV in 1908 by football fans from Troppau and the surrounding area. A year later, in 1909, the Troppau football club merged with the cycling club to form DSV Troppau. The club was a member of the Austrian Football Association until 1913 , from 1913 of the newly founded German Football Association for Moravia and Silesia and was three times Moravian-Silesian champions from 1912 to 1914. After the dissolution of the German Association, the association became a member of the Československý svaz footballový (ČSSF) from 1922 to 1924 . In the 1920s to the early 1930s, the club was unsuccessful, but more than 2000 spectators came to the games, which mostly ended in defeat. During this time there were also other associations in Opava , such as SK Slezan Opava and SK Slezan Kateřinky . In 1939 the clubs from Troppau, as well as the DSV Troppau, became the NSTG Troppau . The SFC Opava was founded as the successor club in 1945
