Dacia & The WMD was the last project of the US- born Dacia Bridges , where WMD is an abbreviation for Weapons of Mass Destruction.

Bridges became known in Germany by founding the rock group Tape , with which they could reach both the German album and single charts . Bridges left Tape in August 2004 and shortly afterwards founded Dacia & Weapons of Mass Destruction together with her husband Alex Scholpp (Lowloader, Farmer Boys ) on guitar, Ralf Botzenhart (Farmer Boys) on bass and Till Hartmann on drums, who was later replaced by Alex Menichini ( Stereo.Pilot ) was replaced. This occupation took the debut - EP propaganda in the spring of 2006 Hannover at the Institute of euphony research with assistance from Martin Ivor Kent aka Ace ( Skunk Anansie on, Inner Mantra), sound engineer Willi Damm eggs and mixer Tommy Hansen what the band a record deal MTM Music / PsychoActive.

The debut album was released on September 29, 2006.

Singer Bridges died on August 1, 2019.
